Beloved country music singer and musician Brian “Nashville” Duckworth has died at the age of 56.

Duckworth, best known for performing with the country music group Taylor Made, died on September 7 at his home in Clarksburg, West Virginia, according to his obituary. A cause of death has not been disclosed.

The Born & Bred organization paid tribute to Duckworth in a Facebook post, remembering him as a talented musician and a kind and generous person. The group noted that Taylor Made performed at the very first Born & Bred event as well as one of its concert series.

Duckworth was a member of Taylor Made alongside family members and was widely recognized for his love of music. His obituary said he “loved to sing” and proudly performed with his family band, earning the affectionate nickname “Nashville.”

“Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together,” the obituary stated, also highlighting his love for the outdoors and his beloved pets.

Tributes from friends, family and fans have continued to pour in following his death.

Melissa Petrey remembered Duckworth as her mother’s favorite singer from Taylor Made and asked people to keep his family in their prayers.

Brianna Duckworth Kazner, a family member, shared an emotional tribute, recalling growing up watching Duckworth perform at fairs and festivals with her family. She said that as she began writing her own music, Duckworth became someone she could turn to whenever she felt creatively stuck.

She praised his ability to write song lyrics and recalled numerous nights spent singing together, sharing jokes and talking about music.

Kazner revealed that Duckworth had called her just one week before his death to discuss a song idea he had.

Reflecting on their musical connection, she wrote that no matter how many times they had performed together, it would never have been enough.

Duckworth’s music, generosity and love for his family are expected to remain a lasting part of the memories shared by those who knew him.
